I am excited to announce a new team member to CCD, Eddie Pecotich. Eddie joined the team on Monday 31st August and will be undertaking the role of National Key Account Manager – Biosecurity, a newly-created role in CCD. His role will be across species, and he will be managing our biosecurity portfolio, which includes detergents, disinfectants, water sanitation, rodenticides and insecticides. With the animal production industries focusing on antimicrobial stewardship (e.g. antibiotic reduction), improving farm biosecurity is a key factor in achieving this goal. We believe that having focus in the promotion of these products will help support our customers achieve their objectives, whilst enabling CCD to continue to grow as the market leader in this space.
Eddie started working in the poultry industry in 1996, where he managed an Ingham’s contract broiler farm at Bargo NSW. Moving onto a live bird pick up role for Inghams, he then joined Baiada as a the Pick-up Supervisor in Sydney for the next six years. The position then took him to Victoria, where he trained a new Pick-up Supervisor for the Baiada Laverton processing plant.
For the next ten years, Eddie became a Broiler Serviceman, servicing contract broiler farms as well as Baiada’s own farms in Sydney and the Hunter regions.
Looking for a bit of a change, in 2013 Eddie took the role as the Commercial Layer Salesman for NSW and QLD selling ISA Brown Layers, as well as servicing Baiada pullet farms in Sydney and Tamworth. This role included advising the layer customers how to achieve the best performance and results from their birds to secure future sales.
Being part of the CCD team since August 2020, Eddie uses his extensive knowledge of poultry farming to help our customers get the best from their livestock.
Based in NSW’s Central Coast, Eddie has a few hobbies of keen interest, such as boating, fishing, pinball renovation, squash and gold/gem prospecting.
Welcome to the team Eddie!
